Details on Diversity:  

• On One side land gets fresh sweet water which drains from Ruparel and Kalinri rivers forming a sweet fresh water lake

• On one side is formed a creek getting Marine Water from the Gulf of Kutch. This Marine water supports Mangroves & other Marine vegetation on the Gulf of Kutch side.

Permits & Guide need to be availed before entering the park. Park is protected in the observation of Government employed Guides & guards. 

Enter the Park and you witness beautiful roads justifying the wet land beauties revealed ahead on the path.

Khijadia Bird sanctuary is treat to a birder's eye as here you can do Effortless Birding. Look left or Right of yourself and you will rejoice Marine & Sweet lake water birds or we call them Wader Birds. Not only birds of Wetlands are the easy Gems we find on this land but we can find Bird of Pray, Birds surviving on Insects, taking shelter on trees, sand, land all are sheltered in oen place called - 'Khijadia Bird sanctuary'.

While we entered the park with wide opened roads we came across beautiful storks flying off our head. Its evening 4 when we entered the park in Phase - II. 

Our knowledged guide educated us that evening best sighting is at Phase - II whereas morning best sighting is at Phase - I.

Beautiful Sunset light was falling on my face and so does on Soft cotton skinned Birds. We saw Birds doing sun basking in real disciplined manner maintaining decorum in the evnvironment by allowing their brothers - sisters - mates to sit-relax-sun bask-recreate & rejoice.

Best time to visit Khijadia Bird sanctuary - October till February with cold and cozy weather. Still birding tour can be extended till April with hot summer.

By Rail: Arrive Jamnagar Railway station (From Major Rail heads you get trains)

by Bus: Arrive Jamnagar Bus Depot (From Mumbai, Gujarat main cities, you get Bus to Jamnagar)

Cost of Stay: cost of stay is between Rs. 700 to Rs. 5000/- per night depending on hotel selected. Its advised to pre-book hotel.
